Eligibility Criteria

Age limit: You must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1 August of year of exam. Age relaxation for reserved category is applicable as per the norms.

Educational qualification: For admission to the examination, you should have passed the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. examination.

Exam Pattern

Part-I: Computer Based Examination (500 Marks)

Part I is of 500 marks. The exam for two objective papers is conducted in Computer based mode. Each paper carries a maximum of 250 marks. Each paper is of 2 hours duration.

Both the Papers are of MBBS standard. The Computer based examination in both the papers is completely objective (Multiple choice answers) type. The question Papers are set in English only. There is penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers in the objective type question papers. There are four alternatives for the answers to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given, one third of the marks assigned to that question is deducted as penalty.

Part II: Personality Test (100 Marks)

Candidates who qualify in the Computer based examination are called for Interview or Personality Test. The Interview or Personality Test carries 100 marks. The interview or Personality Test is intended to serve as a supplement to the Computer based examination for testing the General Knowledge and ability of the candidates in the fields of their academic study and also in the nature of a personality test to assess the candidate's intellectual curiosity, critical powers of assimilation, balance of judgment and alertness of mind, ability for social cohesion, integrity of character, initiative and capability for leadership.
